KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE
Support effective public safety efforts and work with law enforcement, first responders, businesses, and residents to make Eureka a safer place to live, work, and visit.
MAINTAIN OUR ROADS & INFRASTRUCTURE
Prioritize the maintenance and repair of roads, streets, sidewalks, drainage, and other essential infrastructure before problems become more costly.
CLEAN UP EUREKA, AND KEEP IT CLEAN
Take a practical, sustained approach to litter, illegal dumping, neglected properties, and other conditions that impact the appearance and livability of our community.
SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE ECONOMIC GROWTH
Encourage responsible investment, support local businesses, attract new opportunities, and promote economic growth that benefits our community while respecting Eureka's character.
FIND PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS THAT IMPROVE OUR COMMUNITY
Focus on results, not politics. Listen to residents, identify what is working and what isn't, and pursue practical solutions to the challenges facing Eureka.

My name is Janelle Jackson, and I am running for Eureka City Council to represent Ward 3. I believe our community deserves leadership that listens, works hard, and puts residents first.
Eureka has been my home for more than 50 years. My grandparents, my mother, and I were born and raised here, and I raised my three children here. I love Eureka and am committed to its future.
For 25 years, I have proudly served Humboldt County in law enforcement. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I am passionate about serving others. I believe in integrity, accountability, compassion, collaboration, and the courage to make difficult decisions.
If elected, I will work to keep our community safe, maintain roads and infrastructure, keep Eureka clean, support responsible economic growth, and pursue practical solutions to houselessness, substance abuse, and mental health challenges. I will be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars while remaining accessible, transparent, and accountable to the people I serve.
